| Description: | The Lionville Branch of the YMCA of the Upper Main Line is looking for a director to lead its Competitive Aquatic Department. The candidate should be knowledgeable in stroke development, age group swim teams, have experience in a competitive aquatic environment and meet management. This position requires extensive skills in volunteer recruitment, training and supervision. The successful candidate must be highly organized, motivated and have strong communication skills. The Competitive Aquatic Director is also responsible for development and supervision of a $120,000 budget.
The successful candidate will be one of three Aquatic Directors and six Program Directors to lead this branch’s programming and will work with the Senior Program Director as liaison to the Parent’s Swim Team Committee and with the local school district’s competitive program.
The Lionville branch has one indoor and one outdoor pool and has recently completed an expansion project. The swim team has an enrollment of 100 swimmers on its winter team.

| Qualifications: | Must have Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), past aquatic/swim team experience, 2+ years of coaching experience, including 1 year supervisory experience, as well as current lifeguard, CPR AED, O2 and Swim Instructor certifications. Degree in Physical Education and LG/Swim Instructor Trainer certifications preferred. Strong interpersonal and human relationship skills are critical to the success of this position.
